Ingredients
1 pkg | Sunrise Medium Firm Tofu , mashed |
1 Tbsp | oil |
½ tsp | cumin seeds |
½ | onion , finely chopped |
¼ tsp | turmeric powder |
1 tsp | ginger , minced |
1 tsp | garlic , minced |
2 | medium tomatoes , chopped |
1 | green chili , finely chopped |
½ tsp | cumin powder |
½ tsp | red chili powder |
½ tsp | chaat masala |
½ tsp | garam masala |
½ tsp | coriander powder |
salt to taste | |
cilantro for garnish |
Directions
- In a medium pan, heat oil on medium heat. Add cumin seeds and sauté until fragrant. Add onions, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic. Sauté for 1-2 min until onions are translucent.
- Add tomatoes and green chilies. Cook for 2-3 min until tomatoes are soft.
- Add cumin powder, red chili powder, chaat masala, garam masala, coriander powder and salt. Combine with mixture and cook for 1 min.
- Add mashed tofu and mix until tofu is well coated.
- Cover and allow the tofu to heat through and brown. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with rotis or chapati.
