Fried Tofu with Miso Sauce

The meaty texture behind our Fried Tofu makes this easy appetizer a popular one for those who may be afraid to try tofu.



1 pkg Sunrise Fried Tofu , cut into halves
1 tbsp oil
2 tbsp light miso paste
1 tsp Korean chili paste
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp grated ginger
¼ cup water


  1. In a glass bowl, combine all sauce ingredients and mix well. Let sit in refrigerator for 1 hour to allow the flavours to blend.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan. Pan fry tofu until both sides are browned.
  3. Serve miso sauce as a dipping sauce or spoon over a plate of fried tofu.
